Ingredients

Drink base
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz orange liqueur
  • 1.5 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz apple cider
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz maple syrup
  • 1 ice
  • 1 cinnamon sugar for the rim
  • 1 fresh cranberries
  • 1 rosemary sprig

Method

Rim the glass
  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then dip it in cinnamon sugar so the edge looks evenly coated.
Chill and prepare
  1. Fill the glass with ice until it’s well packed and ready to receive the drink.
Shake the margarita
  1. Add tequila, orange liqueur, cranberry juice, apple cider, fresh lime juice, and maple syrup to a shaker with ice, then shake for 15 seconds until the mixture looks frosty.
Strain and garnish
  1. Strain into the prepared glass so the drink is smooth and the ice stays behind.
  2. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a rosemary sprig, then serve for a festive finishing touch.

Notes

For the cleanest rim, coat the glass right after rubbing the lime so the cinnamon sugar sticks. Keep any leftover mixture (before straining) tightly covered in the fridge up to 24 hours; shake again with fresh ice if serving later. For a lower-sugar option, use an unsweetened or reduced-sugar maple syrup or a maple-flavored zero-sugar syrup in the same amount.
