Blend the frozen yogurt mixture
- Whisk plain Greek yogurt, creamy peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and salt together until completely smooth and no streaks remain. Keep whisking until the mixture looks uniform and glossy.
- Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if needed. Whisk again for 10 seconds after adjusting so it fully incorporates.
Freeze or churn
- Pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 4 hours. Stir every hour for the first 2 hours to prevent large ice crystals from forming.
- Alternatively, churn the mixture in an ice cream maker for a smoother result. Follow your machine’s normal churning cycle until thickened.
Serve
- Let the frozen yogurt sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before scooping so it softens slightly. You should see it become easier to portion without fully melting.
- Top with banana slices and a drizzle of honey, then finish with crushed peanuts if using. Serve immediately for the best creamy texture and fresh fruit bite.
Notes
For the creamiest texture, use full-fat plain Greek yogurt and mix until completely smooth before freezing. Store covered in the freezer up to 2 months; thaw in the fridge for 10–20 minutes and stir before serving if it becomes very firm. Freezer storage is best, but refreezing after extended time at room temperature may slightly soften texture. Dietary swap: use maple syrup instead of honey if you prefer a vegan-friendly sweetener.
