Method
Assemble the foil packets
- Divide the thinly sliced sirloin steak, sliced bell peppers, sliced onion, and sliced mushrooms among 4 heavy-duty foil sheets.
- Drizzle each packet with olive oil and Worcestershire sauce.
- Season each packet with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Top each packet with 2 slices provolone cheese.
- Fold the foil into sealed packets, crimping the edges tightly to keep steam inside.
Grill and finish
- Grill the foil packets over medium heat for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking.
- Carefully open the packets and serve hot in hoagie rolls, or serve as-is.
Notes
Pro tip: Slice the steak thinly so it cooks through during the 18-20 minute grill time—cheese melting is best once the packets are steaming hot. Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for up to 3 days; reheat in a skillet until steaming. Freezing isn’t recommended because the provolone can change texture. Dietary swap: use a low-sodium Worcestershire sauce if you’re watching sodium.
